Ben is a very special trainer. He has the ability to remember everyone’s names, he is able to skilfully differentiate his training to meet peoples individual needs. I’m not really a ‘runner’ as such. I don’t run for pleasure. I took it up because I thought I should (a certain age thing). Joining Ben’s running group was one of the best things I have done.

"I took up running last year and needed assistance with technique and the skills to run faster and longer. I decided to approached a personal trainer at my gym and told them I was looking for some running coaching. They said they could help me but once the training began it was quite clearly just a run of the mill personal training session and they lacked the skills and knowledge specific to running.
When I saw your running course this was ideal ! just what I had been looking for and registered. I have now completed 7 out of the 10 weeks course and I can confidently say I am fitter, thinner, faster and can run for much longer. The trainer Claire is excellent. She never shouts as you and seems to have endless enthusiasm, energy and encouragement to each person within the group. The lessons are clearly explained and demonstrated and I have felt pushed to my current maximum potential. She watches each person’s running form and offers advice and correction as we are running along. She is also very safety conscious regarding traffic and ensures no one is left behind. We also seem to have fun as a group despite the hard work we put in.
I am now able to run 10k and have knocked 2.5mins off my 5k time. I will certainly miss my Monday night runs round Poole park. Please run the course again soon."
